pvp's galore
QUite a few personal video players have been in the works by various companies. But no one seems to be working harder than the great people in japan. Here are a few of the producsts that may see the light of day here.
this is a 60gb hard drive player, with a tv tuner and can do on the fly recording. It also has s video out. So this one is pretty spiffy.
This ones not so great, but whatevers. nice try because of its great resolution of 380x234 but too bad it only plays off of an internal SD memory card. Don't know how big the memory is or what.
THese pvps have either a 20gb or 30gb hard drive. Pretty nifty lcd screen, 480x234. Has on the fly recording and it's not too great, only at 25 fps. But the design isn't too bad.
We'll see what happens later this year when most of the personal video players will be coming out. I can't wat until the next CES (consumer electronics show) and see what will come out. I'd like to see a pvp that can double as a pda, has an integrated 3 mp digital camera, as well as a mobile phone attachment that works via bluetooth. Of course this dream gadget will be able to play mp3s, and have wifi. All this in a compact case the size of an ipod. Until this item comes out, I am going to have to settle down for laways carrying 3 devices, my mobile (with crappy camera), pda, and ipod.
