dell axim x50v
I've been on the prowl for a new pda, and have been bouncing between many pda's. I used to have an ipaq 3995. It worked great for what I needed, but I was in awe with all of the new pdas that had built in wi-fi. Once I began to see these roll out in droves, I knew I had to get one. But which one?
I thought about getting a palm powered device like the tungsten, or the t series, but the didn't seem to be able to do what I wanted to do. Or have the options I liked like a CF slot. But then, late last night, I came across this bad boy. The Dell Axim x50v. It has both a sdio slot and a cf slot. It also has a vga screen! a VGA SCREEN! That means being able to watch movies and other high res stuff on this little bad boy. It also has an pretty quick graphics processor. But of course the down side is the price. at $499, its pretty steep. But they do have a 15% discount right now until the 5th. This thing has built in wi-fi, bluetooth and loads of other features that I was just drooling over. Only downside is that I would really have to get the 5gb microdrive to make this thing even do what I need it to do. That adds an extra $200. Oye. What to do. What to do.
But if you are really lucky and really nice, maybe you can get a 25% coupon from people at www.fatwallet.com. The best resource for deals I know of.
Anyhow, just wanted to share this with people that are looking for a pda that can do everything but not necessarily looking for a laptop. I ordered this one after reading through all of the reviews from www.bargainpda.com and the www.aximsite.com. This pda is great for the road warrior or for the gadget-phile. It can even play mp3s! Just hook it up to your car stereo and yer on yer way! woohoo!!! Can't wait to get this and start tearing away at it.
