ok, i've been out for a while celebrating and what not. but I'm back. and here it is. Samsungs camera phone. It has 3 mega pixels! Man, they have all the good toys over there. I always feel like we get the hand-me-downs.

QUite a few personal video players have been in the works by various companies. But no one seems to be working harder than the great people in japan. Here are a few of the producsts that may see the light of day here.


this is a 60gb hard drive player, with a tv tuner and can do on the fly recording. It also has s video out. So this one is pretty spiffy.


This ones not so great, but whatevers. nice try because of its great resolution of 380x234 but too bad it only plays off of an internal SD memory card. Don't know how big the memory is or what.


THese pvps have either a 20gb or 30gb hard drive. Pretty nifty lcd screen, 480x234. Has on the fly recording and it's not too great, only at 25 fps. But the design isn't too bad.

We'll see what happens later this year when most of the personal video players will be coming out. I can't wat until the next CES (consumer electronics show) and see what will come out. I'd like to see a pvp that can double as a pda, has an integrated 3 mp digital camera, as well as a mobile phone attachment that works via bluetooth. Of course this dream gadget will be able to play mp3s, and have wifi. All this in a compact case the size of an ipod. Until this item comes out, I am going to have to settle down for laways carrying 3 devices, my mobile (with crappy camera), pda, and ipod.

Apple has announced new powermacs G5s! They will now all come with dual processor cores! From the 1.8 to the 2.5 ghz. The 2.5 won't ship until July but it may also be liquid cooled.

Looks like the boys at creative came out with a new player, dubbed the Zen Touch.

Looks quite spiffy, its supposed to be an ipod killer, but we'll see.

Apple has come out with a pretty nifty device for you itunes lovers. The airport express allows you to plug in your stereo system or powered speakers and wirelessly stream music from your laptop with itunes.

Seems like it only works with apple airports but we'll see.

Decided to blow off some steam and do a little bit of shopping. Electronics, books, dvds, pretty much anything I saw was justified for usage and so was purchased.

Here's a run down of some of the things I got:

ipaq 4155 - has bluetooth and wifi. Had to replace my old ipaq that cracked when I dropped it.

hp 2500N Color laser for the office

LA Cie 500 gb external hard drive for backups and moving info from our field offices and consultants.

Motorola 5.8 ghz expandable phone system. Great for the growing office without needing a pbx solution.

Maytag soda vendor. Really great for the small office space.

toshiba laptops to have tv tuners

Finally someone is adding a built in tv tuner to a laptop. Toshiba has announce they will begin shipping laptops with tv tuners.

60 gb ipod?

Looks like Apple may introduce a 60gb ipod later this summer. Toshiba has announced some new 60 gb 1.8 inch hard drives, which are the sames ones that currently power up apples ipods.

It'd be nice to see it at the $499 price point and with the rumors of the video capabilities it will sure be nice.
